What We’ll Cover
Session 1 (March 1st Sunday): Before Prophecy
The state of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his habit of worship before his encounter with the Angel Gabriel.
Session 2 (March 4th Wednesday): Before Prophecy (part 2)
The Prophet's love for seclusion and his visits to the cave of Hira.
Session 3 (March 8th Sunday): Angelic Encounter
The first revelation and sura "Recite!" Here you practice your i'rab parsing skills with the first verses that were revealed from the Quran.
Session 4 (March 11th Wednesday): Return to Khadija
The resultant state of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his wife Khadija comforting him.
Session 5 (March 15th Sunday): Waraqa, Early Verses
The encounter with Khadija's cousin, Waraqa ibn Nawful, and his recognition. You will practice your i'rab skills on the sura of Destiny.

When are the classes and how many?
There are five classes in total and are held Sundays and Wednesdays beginning Sunday, March 1st 10:00 AM EST.
What if I can't make it to the live sessions?
All sessions are recorded for you to review, and available 24 hours after the end of each class.
Does this class have prerequisites?
Qualified students ideally have completed our Essentials certificate to get the most out of this course. All students are welcome. Arabic grammar terminology is used in class.
What level is this class?
This is practical application of the materials students learn in our Intermediate certificate, which covers irregular morphology, deeper grammar, and guided reading practice.
Will I get to read in class?
Students who arrive first and have prepared the text are given preference in reading aloud. That said, we accommodate everyone that attends.
What exactly will we be reading?
Four pages from Ibn Hisham's Sira on the commissioning of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and the revelation of the Quran, along with relevant Quranic verses.
